In my ventures I have seen a lot of creators making recipe cards from different kits & thought this was a great idea, so I decided to give a try at creating one of my own with a recipe that I found. I haven't yet tried this recipe, but I must admit it sounds real good. I made it pretty big so I could print it out at a decent size. If anyone tries it before I do please let me know how it is & if not I will leave some feedback on it. I think this is a great way to crate your own recipe cards with a little style.

Made the Template myself....

Usually I use templates made by others, but I seen some to buy and thought I would try this one myself. I am pretty happy with the way that it came out.

Mr. Fix It
It was a good Christmas for everyone in our family... Wayne got a load of new tools, a tool box to keep them in and a new 6' ladder. Here is a page that I made today of him putting some of those tools and the ladder to good use.
I got a new digital camera and I also put that to good use.
We bought our house almost a year ago & it had track lights above the fireplace... One was burnt out when we moved in and the other two went out one by one and Wayne finally had the stuff he needed to get them fixed. WOOHOO they work great now.
This one is a little big, because I want to get me a scrapbook and print out some of my layouts to put in it.

Hope it was...
a merry Christmas for all. My oldest daughter has been wanting photoshop elements for a while now & her grandma got it for her for Christmas. It has a lot of neat features that my version on Photoshop doesn't have, so I think I am getting more use out of it than she is. I still think I prefer photoshop for most of everything, but this one is neat to play with. The "Help Me" one I did in PaintShop, but I thought it was just too cute not to include. This one is Sampson's trip to the beach.
This one is Delilah's band.
This one I just couldn't help but make!

Merry Christmas
I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas... Around here it looks more like a NASCAR Christmas. We have our Earnhardt @ the fireplace. Wayne and I each year get each other 1 thing and usually give it to each other on Christmas eve. This year I got my pajamas in you guessed it #88 ... Go JR. The bottoms came in the AMP can that also doubles as a bank (Like I ever have any money to put in it) and the shirt came in the Christmas bulb on the tree. Well, actually we got more than one thing this year... I made out like a bandit!!! We just got the other things as we bought them... I got a new digital camara that takes awesome pictures & a new desktop computer and he got an electric gutair.
I think our Christmas tree turned out really nice this year. We just got a new one this time around. This is our first year in our new house and the other one was just too small and well in all honesty I think it looked like the "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree" So, now we have a big fluffy one.

New Page

I just made this one this morning... I found this kit and just had to have it... I thought I would get a lot of use out of it so I did what I don't do very often and bought it. I don't have any of my recent pictures on my computer as of yet so I used one that was already there. It was taken in September @ the rumble rally with Jackyl and the Flaunt Girls from Sturgis S.D. There were 3 guitars bought for Christmas this year in our family so I see me using it a lot.

Almost Here
It has been a while since I posted... The reason being a few weeks ago we found out that my 16 year old daughter has skin cancer, so needless to say, it has been a stressful time not to mention the holidays coming up.
This is one of the few last chances to use all the Christmas kits I have collected...This one is a desktop 1024X768...Does anyone use this size anymore? Last week I broke down and bought me a new Dell Desktop... I know my Desktop and my Laptop both go bigger, but I am still stuck on the 1024X768!!!!

Wonderful Time
I love Christmas time, but I hate the cold.
I thought this was a great kit, so I made a couple of different ones with this one. I have ordered a better camera and can't wait to get it just in time for Christmas day. Each one of these have different looks and elements, but I like them both.

Love QP
Today is Thanksgiving and before we know it Christmas... Then after that...YEP, that's right the hallmark holiday of Valentine's Day so that is what this one is for... I made this a little bigger than most of the ones that I post because I want to print it out on some photo paper. The name at the end of the letter can be changed too. This one is 7X7... Just about perfect for a print out... I couldn't make it 8X11 without distorting it.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve
As with most people, today was my last day of work until Monday for the holiday. Monday is December 1st...The day that the Supreme Court has given the so called president elect to respond in one case of the birth certificate issue... Gee lets see... Don't we have to show a birth certificate for many documents such as a divers license when we move to another state? But, I guess someone wanting the highest job in the land should have to... I really do hope someone does something before this man steps in and walks all over our constitution on 1/20/09. I guess some people out there thinks the constitution doesn't matter and I am sure some will think different when all their rights are gone and they still have no one giving them their hand out!

Just around the corner
I am sure I am not the only one that doesn't want to admit that Christmas is just around the corner, but this Thursday is Thanksgiving and we all know what is next...The season where we all go in debt. This is just a little something that I put together so I can share some of the pictures I get during Christmas & I was raised to believe and do believe that Christmas is for kids.

For Mom's & Dad's 2 B
My kids are teenagers now, and I didn't have all the things they have now as far as technology. This is one that I just got done with so I used a picture of my friends grandson and there is a blank at the bottom. If you wish to have different words you can request the file and change the words. With all of my quick pages all you have to do is add your picture to a bottom layer.

New QP
It has been a while since I have posted anything new...I have new stuff just haven't got around to posting it... I have been busy keeping up with the new and such on the "Constitutional Crisis" that our country is in right now & believe me it is! If this whole thing is not settled soon then we are in for it, so I have been doing my part to voice my opinion to the Supreme Court and Congress for my state!
Anyway back to the design... This one is what it looks like with the picture added, I didn't have a whole lot of pictures at my fingertips to choose from, but I picked one of Sampson...One of the puppies we got back in October...This one was taken about a month after we got them and they have grown so much. The example at the bottom is blank so all that has to be done is to open it up in an image editor and slide the picture of your choice to a bottom layer and adjust it and POOF you have your own page.

How we got stuck with him!!!
It is amazing to me... How many people didn't do research before electing the person who will hold the most powerful position in our Country. Now all of must pay for everyone's lack of knowledge!!! I know there is a big uproar about his birth certificate and citizenship status and I am just hoping that someone has enough sense to look into it before putting all of America in harms way and under leadership of this so called man.

The Real Truth
“By turning off their Address Verification System, or AVS, at the Obama website, the Democratic candidate was able to raise a record $150 million in donations last month from millions of donors from all over the world.”

Remember this day??????
This started out as a place for me to share my creations just so other people could see what I make, but I have to question if any one remembered this day durring the election? I have never or will never forget... No, I don't know of anyone that I knew personally that was in any of the places when the attack took place, but I do remember what I was doing like it was yesterday. I do remember thinking and praying for all the people who lost parents, children, spouses and so on in the attack. People were so ready to do away with Bush that they would have elected the devil himself and maybe they have. I have not always been happy with who has been elected president of this GREAT nation, but never before have I felt so strongly against someone as I do this one. Did a majority of americans have their head up their ass on November 4th, 2008? Did anyone listen to who this man associates himself with? The kind of church he attends? Even the fact that he doesn't want to hand over his birth certificate? The fact that he won't sulte OUR flag? That is just a start. Maybe McCain wasn't the best choice, but he is sure a hell of a lot better than what we are now stuck with for at least the next 4 years...Maybe the next 8 god forbid.

Freedom of Speech...We still have that for the moment
Freedom of spech is one thing that we still have for now. So, I am exprssing my right while I still have it!!!
I love those "Motivational Poster" pictures so, I made one of my own. Even more I love my freedom, my country and those who fight for it. As you can guess I didn't vote for this man not that I supported all of McCain's issues either, but anyone must admit that you have to respect him for all he endured for his country...For all of us...For our country!!!! This picture really bothers me... A man that some of the people of the USA elected to be the leader of this great nation and he doesn't eve sulte our flag. Does that not scare anyone else? I hope and prey this man does right or at the very least congress keeps him in check...I just don't have a very good feeling about that.

New Desktop
This is one I just finished ... One thing about PS that I use the most is the effect where you can add text in a paragraph, I think it adds a nice touch to a desktop or a scrap layout. As it states in the example text...I added this picture to give it a better effect of what it will look like. The frame has more of a mirror effect and you just can't really get the effect if you leave it out on the preview.

Sampson & Delilah
Give Thanks
Like it or not...Thanksgiving is right around the corner...Then Christmas, but myself can't wait till next summer and it will be riding season again :D. This is something I just made today. It is from a Thanksgiving theme, but I wanted it make it more for everyday use.
I have been busy since the weekend...This is another one that I put together. I added a picture to this one for my friend. I like the colors and design of this one and think it would be real good for "teenage" pictures.Posted by HRD at 5:21 PM 0 comments

Happy Halloween

Today is Halloween even if "Trick or Treat" was last night in my neighborhood... I made this yesterday actually I have made a few things I just haven't had time to post them until now.
This is one that I just did this morning... It is 6 in. wide and 4 in. high or 1800X1200 pixels. I am happy with the way that this one came out. I think the poem to the side is a nice little touch. Of course that can always be changed.
This is one that I made yesterday morning. This one came about because I have 2 girls and I thought it would pretty cool to put each of their newborn pictures on each side and then a more recent picture on each side.
I made this one for my friend...It is her daughter. I have known her since before Briana was born, as a matter of fact, I was in the room with her when Briana came into the world!

Chelsey
I just love the notebook paper... I think it is a long time fascination of mine...One of my friends used to tease me all the time when I was younger cause I had a lot of different notebooks. Anyway, this one is for my oldest daughter... She is 16 and yes, her name is Chelsey... She was born 6 weeks premature and was only 4 lb. 4-4/3 oz and had a long road. She was in the hospital for 4 weeks out for a week and in for another month. When she was just a couple weeks old we found out she had a condition called hydrocephalus for a bleed on her brain and didn't know what life held for her, but she is doing fine ... a little weakness on one side of her body from it, but leads a normal life.

Seneca Rocks
This is another new one I got today and just had to do something with it ... It was taken on our vacation back in July... A place called Seneca Rock, West Virginia. We have been there a few times.... There is so much to see and do in the area, but we didn't get to see as much as we usually do. There are a lot of cabin rentals there and it is so peaceful. I love it so much I have renamed it "Robin's Rock". The first day we were there in about the same location that these pictures were taken we put our quarter in the binoculars and seen 3 people climbing the rock... That was awesome to see.

2 More
I love the colors of this one... I have 2 kids both of them girls, so girl desktops are my thing!

This one is pretty simple, but I think it has a nice effect to it... Both of these are simple ones... as far as adding the pictures.
