One more week till the New Year

It is hard to believe this is the last week of 2009, and then off to a new year!  I have made a couple things with a new years kits that I have gotten over the past few weeks. The first is this frame… I was pretty happy with it & I have also made a little “brag book” that will hold 2 photos. I am really liking this kit for my new years eve pictures. I hope the new year is a safe and prosperous one for all.

 

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

It is hard to believe that another year is almost behind us. My mom always told me the older you get the faster time goes and that can not be more true. I would like to take this moment to wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR. This year Christmas is a lot leaner than it has been in years past. Thank god my kids are older and they understand that, and don’t think it is just “mom being mean” LOL.

Almost Christmas

Only 5 more days until Christmas… I would like to take this time to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR from my home to yours! I hope that everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday. It seems almost imposable that another year is almost behind us!

Thanksgiving QP

Not much free time :(

I haven’t had a lot of free time to keep up with my blog or really create anything new. By the time I get home from work, have dinner and do a workout the night is about shot for me. Weekends seems to be the only time I have. Now that it is getting colder out I think I will have more time…LOL

I am giving my windows Live writer a try instead of logging in to blogger to do my posts. There seems to be more freedom this way and take less time. We will see how it works out.

Cancer Sucks

With this being BCA month... I had to make this. It will be one year in January since my daughter had to have a toe amputated due to Melanoma. I thank god everyday that her biopsys came back ok and she hasn't had any other problems. She was only 16 at the time and it was a hard time for us all. Everyone male and female please be aware of your body and take care of it! God only gave you one go around with it.

E Is for Exercise

I don't think there is any woman who hasn't been here, but after my 38th birthday in June I started getting serious about getting in shape with watching what I eat and throwing in some exercise in the evenings which isn't easy since I work full time and have almost an hour travel each way, but it is something that I really want. This time I think I am finally doing it! So far I have dropped about 20 pounds... My jeans that were tight when I started are now lose as soon as I put them on and even the ones that are a size smaller go on with ease and are even loose! That in itself makes you not want to stop. I found this kit for free and I knew I had to do something with it. The size here for the blog is 900 x 900 and I also have the full size of 3600 x 3600 if anyone would like them just send me an email with exercise as the subject.

My daughters friend had a baby on 07.08.09. I finally got to see him for the first time yesterday... and now I am in love! He is so cute... I took a few pictures of him and made this one.

New Desktop

August 16th we took a little weekend getaway with some friends & our bikes to West Virginia... I have many pictues of the same places that we visted, but it is still beautiful and breathtaking everytime we go. I decided that I would make myself a little desktop with some of the photos that I took. We are going to try to get back when the leaves change... I can't wait for that... We have never managed to make it at that time of the year yet and I can only imagine how beautiful it is.

Something New

It has been a while since I made anything new to share... I work 45 minutes away from where I live, so I tie up about 10 hours a day... 12 hours from the time I get up till the time I get home... It makes for a long day. At first I didn't like my job and I think the big reason was because of the drive. Now that I am used to it ... I am liking it a lot better.

Can He Do It???? I Hope So!!!!

I hope today is the day... Anyone that knows me knows that I love my NASCAR and my JR. I watch the race every Sunday or in some cases Saturday night and if I am not home I DVR it. I guess some would say I am addicted =}
I did watch qualifying yesterday and Jr. came in 3rd...WOOOOHOOOO now if he can just hold on and pick up a win.

Been awhile

I didn't realize how long it actually has been since I made a post here and just about as long since I have had the time to sit down and play around with my pictures that I have taken. I made this one tonight of the bike... We did a lot of "customizing" to it over the winter. I am working about an hour a way so I am gone about 11 hours a day, but hey a girls gotta earn a living. I miss having the time to create, but between work and riding season I am pretty booked.

What IF?????

Imagine if we woke up tomorrow with a president named Solomon Goldstein. A President, who for sure lived in and maybe was even born in Israel. A President, who as a boy went to a very conservative Jewish religious school in Israel. A President who as soon as he was elected calls the Israeli PM and promises that a peace the Jews can live with will soon be implemented. Then in his first interview as President he sits down with the Jewish Television Network and apologizes for Americans' past arrogant behavior. Among other things our new President does first is lecture us that Zionism is a noble thing and has given the World many wonderful things and that we all MUST respect Zionism, even if we don’t agree with it. Then when our new President takes his first foreign trip, it is to Israel to address the Jewish nation. When first meeting the Israeli PM he bows to him. Then later in a press conference with the Israeli PM our new President proclaims that America is not a Christian nation and then while in Israel he spends time in several Synagogues and smiles when a Rabbi points out that his name is the same as one of Israel’s former kings. When our new President starts pushing for Israel to become a member of the UN Security Council will anyone complain?

Replace Islam and Muslim with the above and Barack Hussein Obama has done all of the above.

Urban Decay

Well, I have had my job for a week now and I can honestly say that I am not crazy about it, but the money is good... I really miss my old job and I am hoping that this one is only truly a temporary job. I can't see myself doing this one for any length of time. The money is good, but the hours really suck. 7am-5pm, but at least it is Monday-Friday. Needless to say, I don't have a lot of time to play around with my graphics programs, but hey when you have bills to pay. I am hoping that this one will be over and my other job will pick back up. I love the job that I have had almost 3 years now. When I get home in the evenings I have about enough time to download my scrap booking goodies, but no time to play until the weekends. So here is my first one in over a week. I used one of my old pictures, because I don't have time to go anywhere and get any pictures. This whole adult thing isn't all it is cracked up to be if you ask me.

School Days

I had been waiting to use this kit... I had finally got all the parts to it yesterday morning... when the phone rang... it was a service wanting to send me on an assignment and it turns out to be pretty long term maybe even hired in to the company a very good company. It turns out it is one of the premier company's to work for in my area. The hours will take some getting used to... For the past 2 1/2 years I have had my office job and it was so laid back... my boss didn't care when I showed up as long as I got my work done, take a break when ever I wanted... part time. NOW... I have to work 7am-5pm Monday-Friday... That's right 50 hours a week, but I should be into the swing of things in a couple weeks. Wish me luck.

When we got our tax return some of the money went to getting some things for the bike. Last year he started going with the theme of spiders, so he had to have footpegs and handgrips and a few other odds and ends to make it complete, but come one we all know they are never done now don't we.

Big Day

It was a full day between the two girls... One sporting a new lip piercing and the other one sporting her new tattoo. It made for a pretty long day. The one sporting the new tattoo is mine and she got that right... she sure was a grandpa's girl. She had been wanting it for a couple years now and I finally broke and got it done.

I just bought this kit tonight... I seen it and it was one of those "must haves". I knew it would come in handy with 2 teenage girls around. My youngest one (she is almost 16) talked me into getting her first tattoo tomorrow, so I will be adding the picture tomorrow.

Everyone around here seems to get tired of baked chicken and wants fried chicken only my stomach and my waist line can't handle fried chicken, so when I found this one I had to try it and everyone loves it. This recipe is printable on a handy 3.5X5 size, but it is best on heavy stock paper. If you try it feel free to let me know what you think.

Chalean Extreme

I just love this ladies workouts. I couldn't wait for this one to come out so I could get it, and it just came in the mail yesterday. It consist of 3 months of intense weight training, but you do a different workout each day. She has a great blog too.

Poison Rock Girl Heart: I made this one a 5X7 size. Perfect for printing out on paper. This kit was a free one and reminded me of my oldest daughter. That is what she calls herself. She is into poison... I guess she gets that from me **SMILE**. Last Friday (1/23/09) she had her surgery for Melanoma in her toe. They had to take her toe off and took two lymph nodes out of her leg & the good news came a couple of days ago when the biopsy came back benign. THANK GOD!!!!

New Workouts

I am a huge Denise Austin fan... I loved her 2 workout shows on lifetime TV and was ever so disappointed when they were taken off... I have not been a big fan of alot of her aerobic home workouts, but a big fan of her Pilates and strength training workouts. I love the "Daily Dozen" workout and the Pilates portion of the "Body Burn"
